What You Can Actually Do for GEO on Tilda

2 required steps go in by hand in 15 minutes, plus 1 optional one. No code required — just the Tilda interface and copy-paste.

Update — July 2026

Tilda added native llms.txt and llms-full.txt fields under Site Settings → SEO. The /llms-page workaround is no longer needed — the file is now served from the domain root, as intended. This guide is updated for the new mechanics (step 3). Honest caveat up front: research shows llms.txt does not affect citation rates in ChatGPT or other AI answers — it's 2-minute hygiene, not a lever. The levers are steps 1 and 2.

What actually ships on Tilda:
  • Schema.org — requiredChatGPT and Perplexity correctly identify your business
  • FAQ block — required+41% citation rate in AI responses
  • llms.txt — optional, now nativesince July 2026 it goes into Site Settings → SEO; only read by agentic tools, minimal score weight (2 of 95)
  • robots.txtcan't be edited, and doesn't need to be — Tilda's default already doesn't block AI
  • Hosted profile — works even on Freea public AI page for your business on our domain, no Tilda changes needed (step 4)

First — generate your files

Before pasting anything into Tilda, you need ready-made Schema.org, FAQ Schema, and llms.txt files for your site.

  1. Go to causabi.com
  2. Enter your Tilda site URL
  3. Click "Check site" — you'll get a score and all the files
  4. Copy the generated Schema.org and FAQ Schema — you'll need them in the next step
1

Required: Schema.org via head code

Schema.org is markup that tells AI search engines who you are and what you do. On Tilda, you paste it directly into the page's or the whole site's head.

Path in the Tilda interface
  1. 1.Single page only: open Page Settings → Additional → "HTML code for the head"
  2. 2.Whole site at once: Site Settings → More → "HTML code for the head"
  3. 3.Paste the Organization Schema script from Causabi
  4. 4.Publish — the "Publish" button in the top right
Requires a paid plan

Pasting HTML code into the head isn't available on Tilda's Free plan — you need at least the Personal plan.

2

Required: FAQ block

FAQ schema is the highest-impact fix available on Tilda: +41% citation rate in AI responses. It goes in through Tilda's built-in HTML block.

Path in the Tilda interface
  1. 1.Open the editor for the page you need (FAQ, About, or homepage)
  2. 2.Click "Add block" → block library → category "Other"
  3. 3.Choose block T123 — "HTML code"
  4. 4.Click "Edit" on the block → paste the faq-block.html content from Causabi
  5. 5.Publish the page — the "Publish" button
Also requires a paid plan

The T123 block doesn't work on Tilda's Free plan — same boundary as head code: Personal or higher.

3

Optional: llms.txt — now a native Tilda field

Since July 2026 Tilda supports llms.txt and llms-full.txt natively — the file is served from the domain root as plain text, no workarounds. Takes 2 minutes.

Honest note on impact

llms.txt does not determine whether ChatGPT or Perplexity will cite your site — research finds no such effect, and it's worth 2 of 95 points in our score. It's read only by agentic tools (AI agents that browse sites). Add it since it's now a 2-minute job, but don't expect it to grow your mentions — for growth, go to steps 1 and 2.

Path in the Tilda interface
  1. 1.Open Site Settings → SEO and scroll down to the llms.txt and llms-full.txt fields
  2. 2.Paste the llms.txt text from Causabi into the first field (the second field is the extended version — fine to leave empty)
  3. 3.Publish the site and open your-domain/llms.txt in a browser — it should come back as plain text
  4. 4.Check the served file for the > summary line turning into > — Tilda sometimes escapes it. If it did, remove that line from the field; it's optional

On Tilda's Free plan: hosted profile

Steps 1 and 2 require a paid Tilda plan. If you don't have one — or don't want to touch your site at all — there's a path with zero Tilda changes: a public AI profile for your business on our domain.

How to get it
  1. 1.Sign up for Causabi for free and add your site — no card needed
  2. 2.Review your business profile — Causabi fills it in automatically from your site's content, you just correct anything off
  3. 3.Done: the page at causabi.com/b/your-slug is public, marked up with Schema.org, and submitted to IndexNow — AI crawlers get something to read about your business even if your own site is half-closed to them

To be honest: this complements, not replaces, markup on your own site — if you do have a paid Tilda plan, do steps 1–2 as well.

What you don't need to do on Tilda

robots.txt

You can't edit it — there's no tab for it in the Tilda interface, the file is generated automatically. And you don't need to: Tilda's default robots.txt uses User-Agent: * with only technical Disallow rules (e.g. /tilda/*) — it doesn't block AI bots (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, etc). Tilda also generates sitemap.xml on its own. The one thing worth checking is that Site Settings → SEO doesn't have the "forbid search engines from indexing the site" checkbox turned on.

Tilda's Free plan

Head code and the T123 block aren't available on Free. Check the site's plan: Site Settings → Billing — you need at least Personal. If upgrading isn't in the cards, use the hosted profile from step 4.

Forgot to publish the page

Changes in the Tilda editor don't apply until you click "Publish" in the top right — separately for each page you changed.

You're checking staging, not the production domain

Make sure you're running the audit against the real public domain, not a tilda.ws address — the files there can differ.

Typo in the JSON-LD

Even one missing comma breaks the whole markup. Paste the code into validator.schema.org — it will point to the exact broken line.

Re-run the audit

After fixing, go back to causabi.com and re-run the check for your site — the score will update.
